A Neurodiversity-Affirming Approach
I believe therapy should fit the person — not the other way around. For many autistic and ADHD clients, traditional approaches can feel rigid, clinical, or invalidating. Too often, the expectation is that you adapt to therapy rather than therapy adapting to you.
My practice is different. Every session is guided by the principle that your needs, pace, and identity come first.
Blending Evidence with Lived Experience
In our work together, I integrate evidence-based techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), with flexibility, creativity, and a deep understanding of neurodivergent experience.
As a therapist with lived experience of ADHD, I recognise subtle but important realities that are often overlooked — from sensory overwhelm and executive dysfunction to internalised stigma and masking.
What This Means in Practice
When you come to therapy, you can expect:
Your pace respected — there’s no rush to open up before you’re ready
Your communication style supported — whether that’s verbal, visual, or written
Your sensory comfort prioritised — lighting, sound, and environment adapted to your needs
Your identity affirmed — never questioned, pathologised, or dismissed
Therapy as a Collaborative Process
Therapy is not about “fixing” you. Instead, it’s a collaboration where we identify your goals and explore approaches that feel realistic and sustainable in your everyday life.
Many clients describe the relief of simply being in a space where they don’t need to mask or explain themselves. That’s the foundation from which real change becomes possible.
