I have moved my practice to a purpose-built room in response to my client’s needs which I have listened to over years of therapy. The therapy room is designed to cater for all needs, and offers a calming setting for clients. The room can be changed using lighting and sound to suit a client’s needs. It is also wheelchair accessible. All pictures on this website are taken from the therapy room. The development of this practice comes from working with clients, continuous education and working both privately and with organisations. My private practice began in dooradoyle and has moved to mount Kenneth place. My practice is for anyone experiencing mental health difficulties and I specialise in anxiety reduction using CBT.
Alongside my private practice I work in Pieta House as Psychotherapist for individuals who are in suicidal or self-harm or self-harm crisis and those bereaved by suicide. I also work as Psychotherapist for Croom family Resource Centre providing therapy for clients in the Croom area. Other past experience comes from working as Psychotherapist for Autism Supporting Diversity Ireland for clients with Autism and their siblings.
My training into counselling began in 2013 in Limerick and I continued training in the Institute of Integrative Counselling & Psychotherapy (IICP) in Dublin. Here I gained the qualification of diploma which is accredited by Irish Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (IACP) and then an honours degree in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy. I have completed training in Portobello College on autism studies in 2019. I hold a graduate certificate in Autism studies in Mary Immaculate College in partnership with Middletown Centre for Autism. I finished specialist training on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) for anxiety with The Beck Institute for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. I am also trained by Pieta house in specialist therapy for suicidal individuals and self-harm.
Professionalism and standards are essential to my practise and I work to continuously develop this using the code of ethics and practice developed by IACP which I am a fully accredited member. I attend regular supervision counselling to ensure all professional standards are adhered to.
