ADHD & Autism Therapy in Limerick
(Online & In-Person Neurodiversity-Affirming Psychotherapy)
Living with ADHD or being autistic often means navigating a world that wasn’t designed with your brain in mind.
Many adults spend years feeling misunderstood. They’ve been told they’re anxious, lazy, too sensitive, or simply need to try harder. Some have attended therapy before but still felt they were constantly explaining experiences that nobody seemed to understand.
My approach is different.
I specialise in working with ADHD and autistic adults, and alongside my professional expertise, I bring lived experience of ADHD to my work. I understand not only the clinical theory, but also many of the everyday realities of living in a world that isn’t always designed for neurodivergent minds.
You won’t have to explain why everyday life feels harder than it looks.
Instead, we’ll work together to understand how your brain works, reduce self-blame, and develop strategies that genuinely fit your life.
How Therapy Can Help
Every person’s experience is different, but therapy can help you better understand and manage:
- ADHD and autism, whether you’re newly diagnosed or have known for years.
- Executive functioning difficulties, including planning, organisation, time blindness and decision paralysis.
- Emotional regulation and Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria (RSD).
- Alexithymia and difficulty recognising emotions.
- Sensory processing and sensory overload.
- ADHD and autistic burnout.
- Masking and the impact it has on daily life.
- Anxiety, depression and low self-esteem.
- Relationships, communication and boundaries.
- Building routines and strategies that work for your brain.
My Neurodiversity-Affirming Approach
Many ADHD and autistic adults come to me after having therapy that helped in some ways but never quite explained why everyday life still felt so difficult.
I believe therapy should fit the person—not the other way around.
That means recognising experiences that are often overlooked, including:
- Executive functioning
- Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria (RSD)
- Alexithymia
- Sensory processing differences
- Masking
- ADHD and autistic burnout
- Nervous system regulation
- Interoception
- Emotional regulation
- Monotropism
Many clients tell me they’ve had therapy before but, for the first time, feel their neurodivergent experiences have been understood rather than overlooked.
Understanding often comes before change.

What You Can Expect
Therapy is collaborative, practical and adapted to your individual needs.
There is no expectation to mask, explain away your experiences or become someone different.
The goal isn’t to fix who you are.
The goal is to help you understand your brain, reduce self-blame, and build a life that works with your neurodivergence rather than against it.
